The competition will be held June 22, 2024 Beginning at 9 AM in the Harp Building.
Beginner and novice competitors should arrive by 8:30 AM to prepare and tune.
Entry Fee includes a Saturday workshop for all harpers led by Eileen Gannon after the competition at approximately 3 PM located in the Harp Building.
There will also be a harp workshop on Friday evening conducted by our judge Wendy Stewart at 6 PM in the Harp Building. There is no charge for the workshop but you must pay to enter the festival grounds.
The Scottish Harp Competition is open to solo harp performances in 5 categories from Beginner through Master. It also includes special categories such as Harp & Voice, Harp & Storytelling, and Harp in Ensemble, which may feature additional harps or other instruments along with harp.
This competition is a wonderful place for Scottish harpers to gain feedback from experienced judges and hone their live performance skills in a friendly environment.

Harp Prizes, Trophies & Scholarships
1st, 2nd & 3rd place medals will be given for Beginner, Novice, Apprentice, and Journeyman categories.
Prize money of 1st $100, 2nd $75 & 3rd $50 will be awarded to in the Open Master Category.
Harper of the Day will be awarded the Dr. Andrew Turner Memorial Trophy
Most Promising Beginner will receive the Mary Young Memorial Trophy
Clan Lamont Scholarship to Ohio Scottish Arts School $150 awarded to an Apprentice or Journeyman 10 years old or older.
Bard’s Cup for the Special Category in Song or Spoken Word with Harp
